UPDATE ON THE KILLER OF 2 YR OLD RAMAYAN IN LITTLE ROCK MOVIE
But most of all, the movie fails to show the inner struggle of a young man that has everything to loose but chooses to be faithful to his Lord.ĭiogr49: that’s the verse that has an interesting commentaryīrian Cohn: I often fantasize about being omnipotentĭiogr49: its a long story, id have to get on mic, too long to typeĭiogr49: not necessary to replay… Malachi 3:1 “those who fear the Lord converse with one another, God listens, and it is written in a book” that’s the verse The historical backdrop (WW2, Nazi’s rule and conspiracy against Hitler, etc.) is not clear enough for the average spectator to understand what and why things in the film are going on they way they are. I found the film rather boring and confusing: from start to end the emotional level is a flat line, no important ups and downs, no emotions spoken out (the scriptwriters apparently forgot the richness and profoundness of “Letters from prison”). I saw the film some days ago but, sadly, it did not meet my expectations. So when I learned that “Agent of Grace” was being released, I was immediately caught up. Dietrich Bonhoeffer was, indeed, a true Christian and a man to admire. A friend introduced me to his “Cost of discipleship” when I was at college and I was delighted to read, some years later, his “Letters from prison”. The following comment from someone who posted at the imbd site is less enthusiastic.ĭietrich Bonhoeffer is one of my favorite “faith heroes”. I enjoyed seeing the movie, because I know something about Dietrich Bonhoeffer.

Rated UR 90 minutes (released in the year 2000) On may occasions, he has the opportunity to keep his peace and save his own life, but he stands by his moral convictions and is eventually hanged by the Nazis one month before the end of the war. The clergyman actively opposes Hitler’s regime, heroically condemning its atrocities. Dietrich Bonhoeffer (played by Ulrich Tukur) pays the ultimate price for speaking out against the Nazi party in this dramatization of the German Lutheran minister’s life.
